Totó La Momposina, a magnificent singer and dancer, is considered a national treasure of Colombia. Her music is a total mastery of Colombia’s Caribbean coastal folk music in its many styles: cumbia, bullerenge, chandé, gaita, chalupa, garabato and mapalé. She was recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Latin Recording Academy.
