FIU’s Department of Art + Art History present: Studio Crawl, featuring guest speaker, Mark Dion
WHO: Department of Art + Art History & Michael Gray, 2017/2018 MFA Candidate of Visual Arts
WHAT: Dion’s work examines the ways in which dominant ideologies and public institutions shape our understanding of history, knowledge, and the natural world. “The job of the artist,” he says, “is to go against the grain of dominant culture, to challenge perception and convention.”

W10 – 6pm open studios
W1 – 8pm sculpture garden, BBQ & Live Music by local band Mo’Booty
The talk will take place in W9 painting studio and will be followed by three separate exhibitions including the W10 building and the W1 sculpture building. If you plan to eat, please bring cash for food!
