Are you a teenager (for real or in your mind) with a rebellious soul afraid of growing up? Or a father desperate to understand his melancholy girl? Or just nostalgic about your first kiss?
The Cultural Services of the French Embassy, in partnership with the City of Miami Beach Arts in the Parks, are pleased to present the 4th edition of the French film festival Films on the Beach, dedicated this year to French Teen Spirit. What better way to nurture your teenage soul?
Through our free traditional Open Air Screenings program at Miami Beach Soundscape held every Tuesday of May at 8.30pm, you will get a sense of French teen spirit from the 60’s to nowadays. Four different French movies, each from a different time, will take you back experiencing social or political challenges at school, feeling the atmosphere of Summer vacation in the Bretagne or in the South of France, or experiencing the French Kiss.
Special screenings (free, too) will take place on Sundays at Miami Beach Cinematheque and for the first time at O Cinema and Faena Bazaar. A closing reception will take place on May 28 at 7.30 pm at Faena Bazaar (RSVP to [email protected]).
