Design Miami/ 2020 takes place over ten days—Friday, November 27 through Sunday, December 6—returning to the Moore Building in the Miami Design District, the same venue that launched the fair in 2005. Over 139 pieces will be exhibited from across America, with 57 being shown as part of Podium/, a new exhibition concept featuring historic and contemporary design objects, that explore the theme “America(s)” and curated by Design Miami/’s Curatorial Director Aric Chen. Alongside this new format exhibition, Design Miami/ welcomes 10 international design galleries and four innovative Curio presentations to this year’s show by R&Company, Jason Jacques, Moderne, amongst others. To ensure that guests who cannot attend in person this year are able to take in everything the fair has to offer, all works will simultaneously be available to view and purchase online via Design Miami/ Shop and complemented by a robust program of virtual talks and events, including one with Louis Vuitton’s artistic director Virgil Abloh. The exhibitions will be further complemented by a series of creative brand collaborations and satellite exhibitions, both within the Moore Building and across the Miami Design District.
