Climate Ready Miami Neighborhood Workshop – Coral Way
Tuesday, August 27 2019
6:30 PM-8:30 PM
The City of Miami Office of Resilience and Sustainability is hosting a series of workshops this summer to
educate residents on the risks their neighborhood faces from climate change as well as get their input
on what issues and initiatives should be prioritized in the City’s “Climate Ready Miami” strategy.
There will be a Climate Ready Miami workshop on Tuesday, August 27 at Shenandoah Park at 6:30pm.
This meeting will focus on the vulnerabilities specific to neighborhoods around Coral Way such as Coral
Gate, Douglas Park, Golden Pines, Shenandoah, Silver Bluff, and Spring Garden. Some light bites will be
provided as well as child care and Spanish interpretation.
When it’s complete, Climate Ready Miami will lay out a multi-year plan to address risks from sea level
rise, stronger storms, and rising temperatures. It also includes actions to better prepare homes,
businesses, neighborhoods and infrastructure for changing climate conditions. For more information
about Climate Ready Miami, including a complete schedule of workshops, visit their website:
