Miami Dade College (MDC) Museum of Art + Design (MOA+D) announces the official launch of its BAZAAR BAR, a one day marketplace showcasing and selling unique items crafted by a variety of local artists, designers, and makers.
FREE and open to the public, this event is presented in support of MDC MOA+D’s new “Third Saturday” campaign – the museum will stay open until 8 p.m. every third Saturday of the month.
The BAZAAR BAR brings together a community of artists and makers working in diverse media, such as product design, printmaking, jewelry, pottery, and more. An initiative of MOA+D’s Pop Up Shop!, the event presents a curated platform of innovative local makers with the opportunity to sell their works, engage with the community and expose their creative genius while reflecting the spirit of Miami.
Participating makers include: Hustle Sauce, LMNOQ, PoshLife Miami, Grizzly Print Parlour, Gerbi Tsesarskaia, Regina Jestrow, Bell Design Factory, Pip Brant & Duane Brant, Moonlighter, Carol Haggiag, Ingrid Schindall, Dina Knapp, Juan “Erman” Gonzalez, Tina Cornely, Alette Simmons-Jimenez, Portable Editions, Krisse Pasternack, Martha Larmier, Turn-Based Press, and O, Miami/Jai-Alai Books. In addition, the museum’s Pop Up Shop! will unveil its new curated series of artists as makers and designers. The first featured artist is Brooklyn-based CHIAOZZA, a small design studio making playful objects for everyday life.
