ARTtuesdays Panel Discussion
Tuesday, December 18 2012
7:00 PM-9:00 PM
In conjunction with ARTtuesday/Miami, a monthly gathering of artists, arts professionals and aficionados, Girls’ Club hosts a panel discussion to consider the role of drawing in the current contemporary art environment.
Enjoying a close proximity to the artist’s hand and thought, drawings have historically been defined as intimate. With little technological advancement since the 19th century, the medium is often eclipsed by new media and large-scale projects in the contemporary art market.
Join us as we discuss the trajectory of and prognosis for contemporary drawing.
Panelists:
Carol Jazzar, curator/gallery owner Carol Jazzar Contemporary Art, Miami, FL
Virginia Fifield, visual artist, Hollywood, FL
