NR Investments (NRI), a Miami-based developer and pioneer behind the burgeoning Arts + Entertainment District of Greater Downtown Miami, has an exciting partnership with The Market Company. As part of the partnership, A+E and The Market Company are introducing “The Green Market,” to take place in the A+E District on 14th Street & N. Miami Ave on February 8th from 12-5pm.
At “The Green Market,” residents can enjoy a wonderful selection of fresh local produce, featuring over 20 different varieties of tomatoes grown by Teena’s Pride. Leticia de Mello Bueno of Teena’s Pride will guide guests through different tomato tastes and provide a history of tomatoes growing in South Florida. Celebrated local vendors such as Zak the Baker will offer sumptuous selections of breads and granola, and LaProvence will offer an assortment of French baked goods. Keez Beez, local honey from Marathon, FL, will have an assortment of flavored honey for purchase along with tastings, ranging from Brazilian pepper to coconut to citrus-infused honey. Mozzarita from Pompano Beach will offer a delectable spread of fresh mozzarella and burrata, while Pappardelle’s pasta and fresh mushrooms are a not to be missed savory treat. Chef Paulette Bilsky will provide a live cooking demonstration of Fast & Furious Tomato Sauce and Fried Green Tomato Salad, which is sure to have guests’ mouths watering. Guests can also enjoy a free 45-minute Ansa Yoga Flow session instructed by Ansa yoga guru Jennifer Pansa.
Additionally, Rhythm & Vine, a unique cocktail lounge soon to open in Ft. Lauderdale, will run a creative pop-up cocktail and beer garden area at the market, hosting visitors with floor pillows, blankets and come-as-you-are welcome vibes. Coupled with delicious cocktails sponsored by Basil Haden and Makers Mark, this bohemian art-inspired space will provide the perfect oasis to relax and sip between shopping for fresh produce, or for unique artisanal handicrafts from local artists.
Visitors to “The Green Market” will also enjoy live music from the Live! Modern School of Music.
“As the A + E District continues to blossom as a community that fosters local talent and artists, we are also working to cater to the needs of this neighborhood which has an appreciation for farm to table produce and culinary experiences,” said Isabella Acker, Events Curator for the Arts + Entertainment District.
“The Market Company is thrilled to collaborate with the Arts + Entertainment District,” said Claire Tomlin, Founder of The Market Company. “As we strive to inform our vendors of new opportunities, we feel that the growth of A+E District was a perfect fit for expansion in our programming, targeting an audience that we feel will be receptive to this event.”
The market is open to the public, and those who are interested in attending may RSVP in advance – please email [email protected] to reserve.
