The Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library will host the 25th Anniversary Annual Book Sale Dec. 14 through 17 at the main branch of the Miami-Dade Public Library System, 101 W. Flagler St., in downtown Miami.

The proceeds from the four-day sale, which run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., will benefit the Miami-Dade Public Library System. Friends, a nonprofit run by volunteers, will sell thousands of books, DVDs and CDs that were donated over the past year.

Book prices are $1 for paperbacks and $3 for hardcover books, with specialty books, DVDs and CDs priced separately.

“Our goal is support the library system and ensure its growth, and to get more books in the hands of people in our community,” said Lynn Summers, chair of the Friends organization.
