The Sound of the World takes Miami Beach

On April 5th and 6th, 2014 the Rhythm Foundation proudly presents their 12th Annual Heineken TransAtlantic Festival. The festival, named Best Festival by the Miami New Times’ Best of Miami, will be held at the oceanfront venue North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach, showcasing the sounds of the world beyond our shores with both international and local acts such as Astro, Esteman, Tremends, Bombino, The Courtney John Project, and Afrobeta. The festival features innovative artists who create music and sounds that transcend cultural barriers and move across oceans boldly and fearlessly.

HeinekenTransAtlantic Music Fest

The 12th Heineken TransAtlantic Festival is set to kick-off on Wednesday, April 2nd with a free launch party at Blackbird Ordinary featuring live sets in the patio stage by local favorites, Eagle Chief (formerly Arboles Libres) and Hunters of the Alps. On Friday, April 4th the festival takes over the North Beach Bandshell with performances by Astro [Chile], Esteman [Colombia], and Miami’s own Tremends [Miami]. The next day, Saturday, April 5th the festival presents performances by Bombino [Niger], Courtney John Project [Jamaica], Afrobeta [Miami].
