ORCHESTRA MIAMI’S CONCERT IN CELEBRATION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH’S 100TH ANNIVERSARY
SUNDAY FEBRUARY 8 AT 4:00 PM IN COLLINS PARK

A Free “Pops” Style Concert For the Whole Family

The City of Miami Beach is reaching the century mark, and to celebrate this iconic town of neighborhoods and international destinations, Orchestra Miami will hold its biggest event of the 2014-15 Season – a free traditional “pops” style concert on Sunday, February 8, at 4:00 pm in Collins Park, adjacent to the Bass Museum on Collins Avenue. The concert, from one of South Florida’s leading symphonic musical ensembles, will take the audience on a musical tour through highlights of Miami Beach’s history. This is a family-friendly event ideal for picnics, with open grass seating, and is presented by the LeRoy Schecter Foundation, with major sponsors including the Collins Park Neighborhood Association, Collins Park Art Fund at the Miami Foundation, the Betsy Hotel and additional support provided by the Bass Museum of Art.

This is a free concert with open grass seating, and audience members are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and picnics. Collins Park is located at 2100 Collins Avenue, on Miami Beach, with valet parking available on the day of the concert and self-parking available at nearby metered surface lots and garages. At one end is the Bass Museum’s new facility, and at the other end, the beach and the ocean.
