KITTY CARMICHAEL: Kitty Carmichael is the rebirth of old school jazz remixed and re-imagined with modern beats & sounds. They’ve created a sound that’s a new sort of vintage. A sound that appeals to all types and all www.kittycarmichael.com

THE SHINY SHOES BAND: A spicy New Orleans style jazz band. Whereever they play they create the atmosphere of an old time New Orleans speakeasy. The leader of the group, Marius Dicpetris, lived in Harvey, Louisiana, where his father worked on a tugboat on the mighty Mississippi River. There, Marius absorbed the sweet sounds of Mardi Gras and the French Quarter. He and his band are pleased to bring the feel and flavor of New Orleans to the Empire State.

SARAH JANE AND THE BLUE NOTES: Sarah Jane steps from St Louis, with her lush sultry voice in the tradition of a “red hot mama”,  along with the Blue Notes to bring you horn infused swingin’ hot jazz and St Louis blues from the 1920s to the 40’s. Sarah Jane and The Blue Notes are one of the most festive dance bands in St. Louis. It’s a sound that seamlessly blends speakeasy, New Orleans dixieland, Harlem night club, juke joint,  big band swing with a touch of old time blues.
THE DECOTONES:  Miami’s premier jazz vocal quintet. Performing arrangements of your favorite standards from the deco and big-band eras.

ALLAN HARRIS: Allan Harris is a world-class singer, guitarist and songwriter.  Perhaps best known for his interpretations of jazz standards, Allan’s smooth vocals and guitar-styling easily cross genres, from jazz to rock to blues. Tony Bennett has called Allan “my favorite singer” and The New York Times’ Stephen Holdenraves about “the protean talent that is Allan Harris.”  A three-time winner of the New York Nightlife Award for “Outstanding Jazz Vocalist,” Allan is regularly featured at the world’s great music festivals.  The Miami Herald wrote that Harris’ voice and demeanor “project the warmth of Tony Bennett, the bite and rhythmic sense of Sinatra, and the sly elegance of Nat ‘King’ Cole.”

THE WDNA BOOTCAMP ENSEMBLE: This performing ensemble was formed as part of the JECC Boot Camp, which is a workshop that helps students ages 11-18 explore their musical talents. The WDNA Bootcamp Ensemble played Art Deco Weekend’s Playground Stage in 2014 with such rave reviews that we invited them to come back and playthe Jazz Stage at the Promenade. These kids have real talent. You will not want to miss this performance.

BOBBY RODRIGUEZ ORCHESTRA: Exciting, versatile and entertaining, this 18-piece Big Band (est. 1978) ensures your next event will be an affair to remember! Playing tune from 1940s, this band will have you dancing to the retro tunes of the Art Deco era. With over 30 years experience, the Bobby Rodriguez Orchestra has performed in every major South Florida venue and we are proud to have them at Art Deco Weekend!
