I’m excited to introduce Dopedoll Fashion Chronicles – a streetwear interview series showcasing local artists, bloggers and overall fashion savvy dope dolls! I’ll be introducing you to some of Miami’s local best and giving you a regular dose of fashion inspiration. This week I got together with graphic designer, and long time friend, Carlos Valle. We took to the colorful streets of Wynwood to showcase his outfit and discuss fashion inspiration, music and what it’s like to religiously travel cross country for the Coachella Music Festival.

Name: Carlos Valle Location: Hollywood, FL

Occupation: Graphic Designer at Hotheads Hair Extensions

Hobbies/Interest: Music festivals, art, going to shows, making things, crafternoons, cooking, and anything coffee-related.

Influences: Bauhaus movement. YSL manifestos, west coast disco, androgyny and life in the Midwest. I have a thing for juxtaposing things that don’t really belong.

One item in your wardrobe you can’t live without: This orange, stringy, worn headband/scarf that I got from a friend. It travels everywhere with me. Almost lost it once in a massive crowd at Coachella and fought my way through a Muse audience just to get it back. Can’t live without it.

Top 5 artist/songs on your iPod? ALWAYS AN IMPOSSIBLE QUESTION! As of now: Hot Chip, Beach House, alt-J, Icky Blossoms & Disclosure. That might be unfair though, cause I’m prepping for festival season.

Outfit: Hat thrifted, Top thrifted black tunic & Beacon’s Closet leather vest, Bottom Trash & Vaudville, Shoes Romain Kremer gladiator sandals, Bag Village Tannery textured leather backpack, Accessories Filthy Magic eyeball ring, Dopedoll Vintage Los Santeros bracelet, Top Man tan leather watch, Harley Davidson alligator leather bracelet, sunglasses Sea World, Necklace tourmaline black stone.
