For over three years Stone Groove has supplied the live music scene with a home for artistic expression inviting local artists to The Vagabond every Tuesday for the open-mic showcase.
Backed by a loyal group of talented performers, host Marcus Blake and coproducer Rod Deal (both artist and contributors to the avant-garde identity of the Downtown Miami art scene) have established Stone Groove as one of Miami’s strongest music networking scenes.
They have placed a Call To Artist in search for some fresh blood to join Stone Groove, certain that there is plenty more ripe local talent lurking the city and determined to find it. And like I said, they have the hook-up…

A Birthday Tribute To Nina Simone
This upcoming week Stone Groove is paying homage to the High Priestess of Soul– jazz singer, pianist, and songwriter, Nina Simone. On stage, Simone moved from gospel to blues, jazz, and folk, to numbers with classical styling, and incorporated monologues and dialogues with the audience into the program, and often used silence as a musical element.
Stone Groove invites you to celebrate the life of Nina Simone by showcasing your own original work or with a tribute to her works.
The 3rd Party band provide live musical instrumentation. DJs Wasabi and C-Stone set the soundscape between sets.
