NADA Art Fair

The New Art Dealers Alliance, NADA, hosts the 9th annual NADA Art Fair Miami Beach, celebrating new and innovative contemporary art from rising talents around the globe at the Deauville Beach Resort.

NADA Miami Beach will again present a new roster of NADA Projects -‐ an invitational developed to showcase new, innovative and idiosyncratic programs.

SwingArt

Jiae Hwang, 2011 SwingArt Winner

Grolsch, famous for its iconic Swingtop bottle, introduced the SwingArt Program in 2007 to commission an artist and produce a limited number of bottles featuring the artist’s work. The SwingArt Award, presented for the third consecutive season by NADA, commissions an artwork from a living artist working in the United States to design a graphic for a limited edition collectible Grolsch bottles. Label designs are judged by a panel of five internationally respected curators and representatives. Winners receive a cash prize and their artwork featured on 1,615 bottles.

The limited edition SwingArt bottle will be handed out to guests and exhibitors at NADA Miami Beach 2011, plus an array of events at Grolsch accounts in Wynwood, Design District and South Beach.

PADDLE8

Paddle8 creates context for artworks by inviting influential cultural figures to participate as curators. Guest curatosr introduce a grouping of works selected around a theme. Artworks are accompanied by a “dossier” that provides context, insights and multiple pathways to understanding specific artist’s practices. The content created for each exhibition becomes a multimedia archive that serves as an educational tool for all visitors to Paddle8.

For those of you who can’t make it, Paddle8 is bringing NADA Miami Beach 2011 online. Or if you just want to peek in before the fair, the preview for Paddle8 members begins November 25, 2011, and remain on view here for an additional week through December 11. Members can virtually explore and acquire artworks from the booths of participating exhibitors, as well as exclusive online-only artworks beyond the fairs offerings. Register to explore NADA Miami Beach on Paddle8.
